My career in health and fitness started once I graduated from University of Wisconsin - Whitewater with a Bachelor’s degree of Kinesiology in 2022. I began working as a personal trainer during my time at school and transitioned to working at Form and Fitness as a personal trainer and group instructor. Over the past four years at Form and Fitness, I became certified as a Parisi Speed Coach, was established as the Internship Coordinator for the gym and worked alongside several physical therapists in different patient rehab journeys.

Having the ability to work with patients after rehab and helping make a smooth transition into their physical lifestyle aided me in finding my passion and pursuing my career as a Physical Therapist Assistant. Since graduating from Milwaukee Area Technical College with an additional Associate’s degree, I am excited to have an even bigger impact on every patient’s rehab journey working alongside Body Renovation physical therapists.

I have worked with a variety of patient populations throughout my time in the health and wellness field, but my favorite part is working in the rehab setting. I love helping patients tackle their concerns from every angle, offering understanding, education and guidance throughout the their individual rehab journey.

I have a strong background in treating individuals recovering from sports injuries or looking to return to high prior levels of function. I also enjoy working with the geriatric population, working with women on pelvic health therapy and treating different vestibular disorders (including concussions).

If I could visit anywhere in the world: The place I would like to visit and travel to the most is Greece.

Worst injury I ever suffered: While attempting to sit on a countertop, I fell off the edge and landed on my right foot. What I thought was a sprained ankle at the time turned out to be a comminuted fracture (meaning the bone broke into three pieces) and displacement of the fifth metatarsal on my right foot. The fracture required a metal plate with four screws to be surgically installed, so now I set off airport security.

Craziest injury I ever treated: Unfortunately, my patient experienced a gas stove explosion in her home that was actually on the news. She had burns that covered most of the front of her body; her face, arms, hands, abdomen, thighs and feet. She required multiple skin grafts and lots of hospitalization time, during which I worked with her on physical therapy and moving as much as she could.

When I am not at work, I am: Fly fishing in the Driftless, lifting weights in the gym or doing crafts with my friends.

Bucket List Confession: I really want to go skydiving and learn how to ride a motorcycle.

Quote that I live by: “Be comfortable being uncomfortable.”
