Maurice Dumit

MPT

I am a graduate of Marquette University’s physical therapy program, where I earned my Master of Physical Therapy in 1998. I also hold a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. For the past 26 years, I have practiced orthopedic manual therapy, supported by extensive advanced education in myofascial release techniques and joint mobilization of the spine and peripheral joints. I specialize in treating spinal pain, TMJ disorders, and hypermobility syndromes.

Effectively treating physical pain requires both skilled hands and an open, curious mind. Because no two people experience pain or dysfunction in the same way, a highly individualized treatment plan is essential for success. The healing journey begins with a deep, comprehensive conversation about a patient's symptoms, limitations, and personal goals.

I am a firm believer in a hands-on, one-on-one approach. Alongside my manual therapy skills, my passion for problem-solving and "unraveling the puzzle" of physical dysfunction has been a driving force in my patients' success. While the small gains along the path to healing are my daily reward, my ultimate hope is to empower my clients with the behaviors and tools they need to live vibrant, healthy lives.

On a personal note, I am a devoted pickleball player and an avid golfer—always in pursuit of the perfect swing. In the summer, you can find me on my road bike. I also enjoy film, art, and design. My greatest joy, however, is spending time with my dog, Ayla, and my family, who I am fortunate to have close by in Wisconsin.
