I’m originally from Germantown, Wisconsin, and earned my B.S. in Kinesiology–Exercise Science from UW–Milwaukee. During my undergraduate years, I held several positions, including working as an ER scribe in Milwaukee. I went on to complete my Doctor of Physical Therapy at Indiana State University, graduating in 2021.
Since then, I’ve been practicing “up north” in Tomahawk, Wisconsin, where I’ve had the opportunity to work with a wide range of patients including neurological and vestibular cases, athletes, individuals with chronic pain, and patients of all ages from pediatrics through geriatrics. Over the past year, I completed my orthopedic residency, which included more than 150 hours of one-on-one mentorship. Earlier this year, I passed my Orthopedic Clinical Specialist boards through the APTA.
I truly enjoy treating a broad variety of cases. My time in Tomahawk exposed me to many different patient populations, but as someone who grew up playing sports (and still loves watching them), I have a particular passion for working with athletes, helping them push their limits, recover, and get back to the sports they love.
Worst injury I ever suffered: I have been lucky overall with injury where I have never broke a bone or torn any ligaments or muscles. I have however had about 4 concussions throughout my sports career.
Craziest injury I have treated: Saw a patient who got in a snowmobile accident where patient dislocated his hip severely and shattered his femur and tibia. Multiple surgeries later saw him for therapy. Through different therapeutic strategies, he was able to walk out of the clinic and return to more normal life.
May favorite food to cook/bake: I don't have anything in particular that I really enjoy to cook, but I have been using a food delivery site that comes with all of the ingredients and the recipes and really enjoy cooking that food.
If I could travel anywhere in the world: Currently I am wanting to go to northern Europe including Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden. I have a long list of places that I want to see at some point.
When I’m not at work, I am: Playing/watching sports, spending time with friends and family, trying different restaurants, hiking, traveling, going up to Tomahawk to be on a body of water.
Bucket List Confession: I want to go sky diving and/or learn how to fly a plane
Best advice I’ve ever received: Mine probably is: don't change anything, and nothing will change. If you don't like the way things are or are going, you have to change (yourself, your environment, your mindset) if you want different outcomes.
