Paula Trusky

PTA, E-RYT 500, CPT

I have been a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant since 2013, with extensive experience in outpatient orthopedics. I bring a unique background that blends physical therapy, yoga, strength training, massage and movement education to help people recover from injury and return to the activities they love.

Before entering the physical therapy field, I was a professional dancer. My own experiences with chronic injuries and hypermobility led me to develop a deep curiosity about the body and the process of healing. This path eventually led her to pursuing a degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant.

I've been teaching yoga since 2006 and hold the designation of E-RYT 500, with over 20 years of practice. I am also a Certified Personal Trainer, a Comprehensive Pilates teacher and currently attending Massage Therapy School (expected graduation August 2026).

My approach to care integrates manual therapy, therapeutic exercise and movement education to address both the symptoms and the root causes of pain. I firmly believe that long-term health is best supported through a combination of skilled treatment, strength, mobility and sustainable lifestyle practices.

I truly enjoy helping people of all ages and activity levels feel stronger, move better, and regain confidence in their bodies.

See Me For: Orthopedic injuries, musculoskeletal pain, overuse sports injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, personal training, yoga instruction, and guidance for returning to activity after injury. I love working with all bodies, ages, and abilities, and have a particular passion for working with runners, cyclists, yogis, and dancers.

Why I chose to become a PT:In a previous life I was a professional dancer with undiagnosed hypermobility, which caused me continuous injuries and pain. As an uninsured artist, I learned to treat my own pain and found some relief through yoga, eventually teaching it full-time. My students recognized my interest in injury recovery and frequently asked for help with their own pain. Wanting to better understand the body and how injuries heal, I returned to school to become a Physical Therapist Assistant and have never looked back.
